Sirius Staffing is seeking candidates for a Controller for a direct-hire opportunity in Mesquite, TX. The schedule is possibly Monday through Thursday with an option to work remote on Fridays. Essential Functions:Coordinate with Controller all the corporate accounting functions (AP, AR, GL) including all aspects of the general ledger.In charge of manufacturing and inventory accounting (will partner with inventory analysis team and Plant Controller for another division).Direct the monthly operating fixed and variable cost forecasting process with an emphasis on working closely with operations leaders and continuously improving the process regarding timeliness and accuracy of the forecasts.Recommend enhancements to accounting and other finance-related policies, procedures, and internal controls.Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses.GAAP research and technical accounting as needed.Recommend enhancements to accounting and other finance related policies, procedures, and internal controls.Support tax and statutory reporting and filings with Controller and external tax providers including Payroll Service.Serving as a liaison with external auditors and tax consultants as assigned by Controller or Assistant Controller.Challenge and recommend improving the use of financial systems to increase productivity and enhance reporting capabilities.Set direction and business priorities for any assigned direct reports.Assist Accounting/Finance Leadership with monthly Operational and quarterly Board Reporting package including analysis.Participate in annual corporate budgeting process and any interim forecasting.Assist with various special projects and ad hoc analysis including acquisitions. Experience and Position Requirements:BS or BBA in Accounting3+ related accounting and analysis experience in manufacturingWork experience in a similar role within a furniture manufacturing/distribution organization.Must be well versed with hands-on experience with both cost and general accounting in a manufacturing business.Demonstrated experience with cost accounting from scratch.Willingness and desire to support non-financial functions.Experience working in a fast-paced and growing organization.Ability to understand the "big picture" yet able to get involved with daily activities.Heavy MS Excel advanced skills requiredWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Deadline oriented.
