Implementation Team Work Schedule: Su-Th, Approx. 20 hours per week
Our vision: leading all generations to find and follow Jesus for
the flourishing of our city and beyond PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION The
College Pastoral resident will help advance the vision by working
alongside the Director of College and Young Adults to cultivate an
environment of discipleship among college-aged students, while
personally developing as a pastor to multiply kingdom ministry.
This residency is a part-time, 1224 month position. DESIRED
RESULTS/IMPACT OF THIS POSITION Growth as a leader, communicator,
and disciple is actively evidenced Vibrant, active, deep and
encouraging relationships are being fostered and experienced by the
College community at HP Pres Leaders of College ministry are being
encouraged and equipped while new leaders are being identified New
initiatives of discipleship and community formation are being
developed and executed College and Young Adults Director is
supported and can confidently share responsibility of the college
ministry KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 30% - Contact work with college
students Create an environment on HP Pres campus that welcomes
college-aged students Shepherd college students in their
relationship with Jesus while meeting pastoral needs as they come
40% - Ministry Planning, Communicating, and Execution Work
alongside Director of College and Young Adults oversee, improve,
plan, and execute the College Sunday class, College Summer Bible
Study, and SMU partnerships Ideate and develop new initiatives to
connect with students who move away for college Share
administrative tasks as needed with the director Effectively
communicate through planning, coordination, teaching, and
discipleship 20% - Developing Leaders Identify, equip, and
encourage volunteer leaders to take ownership of ministry
initiatives Work alongside Director of college and young adults to
oversee HP Pres Summer Internship 10% - Staff and Ministry Area
Meetings Attend weekly all staff chapel and church staff meetings
Meet consistently with Director of College and Young Adults for
check-ins and planning 10% - Personal Development Invest in ones
personal growth (spiritually and professionally) through personal
devotion to Jesus, continued education, Sabbath rest, coaching,
etc. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILL REQUIREMENTS Education: Four-year
degree preferred Experience: 2 years of connecting and energizing
people Knowledge and Skills: Approachable, friendly, and outgoing.
Highly organized, administrative, and dependable. Agile. Able to
take initiative and be self-motivated. Engaging teacher and
facilitator with experience communicating from platforms of
multiple sizes Motivated and humble learner; team player WORKPLACE
