Job Description:

Qualifications Bachelor's degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required SPED endorsement Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned Knowledge of core academic subject assigned Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Regular attendance is an essential job function Responsibilities Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to match student ability levels Conducts assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students for the purpose of identifying learning issues, and recommending courses of action or corrective procedures to overcome issues and maximize learning Participates in PPT's and assists in developing Individual Educational Plans ("IEP") for students
