Job Description:
WestRock, a leader in the global packaging industry, is seeking
a skilled Class A Mechanic to join our dedicated Engineering &
Maintenance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the
efficiency and effectiveness of our packaging solutions, focusing
on mechanical repairs and maintenance to ensure operational
excellence in our production lines. Our ideal candidate will bring
a deep understanding of mechanical systems and a proven track
record in industrial maintenance, embodying our commitment to
sustainability and innovation in packaging. Perform routine and
preventative maintenance on a variety of packaging machines and
equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely and
efficient manner. Assist in the installation of new mechanical
equipment. Maintain records of maintenance and repair work to
comply with company and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with
other maintenance team members to optimize machinery performance
and reliability. Uphold safety protocols and procedures to ensure a
safe work environment for all employees. Profound knowledge of
mechanical systems and components. Ability to read and interpret
mechanical documents and drawings. Excellent troubleshooting and
problem-solving skills. Familiarity with safety standards and risk
assessments. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Medical
