Our work spans ITAD, circular supply chain design, secure data processing, and sustainability innovation at scale.We are now looking for a VP of Sustainability & ESG Strategy to embed sustainability into the core of how we operate, measure our impact, and lead the market in responsible innovation.Your MissionTo transform Reconext into a global leader in sustainability within the circular economy by owning our ESG strategy, building internal and external tools, and shaping a narrative of impact, both behind the scenes and in front of our customers and industry.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer, Sales & Industry Presence

• Join key sales and customer meetings as the sustainability voice, articulating business value and impact with clarity and authority.
  • Guide clients in building their own ESG stories, supported by Reconext's data, tools, and services.
    • Act as Reconext's public sustainability face - speaking at industry conferences, participating in media, and co-authoring articles and whitepapers with the content team.Data, Technology & Tools
      • Ensure ESG reporting is data-rich and audit-ready, supporting investor, partner, and regulatory needs.
        • Collaborate with product and data teams to build Reconext's ESG impact calculator, ensuring it supports both internal accountability and external storytelling.
          • Track evolving regulations, credits, and incentives (e.g., IRA, CBAM, SEC rules) and help position Reconext to benefit strategically.Internal Culture & Enablement
            • Lead internal sustainability training and enablement, ensuring employees across functions understand how to speak authentically and confidently about our impact.
              • Create internal documentation, talking points, and ESG toolkits for sales, marketing, and leadership.
                • Help identify and push forward meaningful internal sustainability projects in operations, facilities, and logistics.Governance & Compliance
                  • Oversee sustainability-related audits and reporting processes.
                    • Develop and communicate benchmarks, goals, and progress reports for emissions, energy, materials, and circularity metrics.
                      • Build Reconext's Scope 3 emissions strategy, and work with internal teams and customers to drive impact across the supply chain.
                        Who You Are
                        • A visionary, but also a builder. Someone who can zoom out to market leadership and zoom in to frameworks, tools, and processes. Equally comfortable with compliance detail and thought leadership.
                          • Highly data-oriented and articulate, capable of building a compelling business case for sustainability.
                            • Comfortable being client-facing, media-facing, and cross-functional.
                              • Able to navigate the complexity of the circular economy, ITAD, electronics lifecycle, and reverse logistics - or you learn systems like these rapidly.
                                • This role can also be open to you if you're transitioning from a non-profit or public sector role and eager to bring your sustainability rigor to industry.Qualifications
                                  • 7-15+ years of relevant experience in sustainability, ESG, circular economy, or a related field.
                                    • Familiarity with lifecycle modeling, carbon accounting, emissions frameworks, and sustainability compliance.
                                      • Experience working with engineers, analysts, sales teams, and executives alike.
                                        • Strong public presence or ability to become a credible speaker, podcast guest, or thought leader.
