We are seeking a Special Procedures Radiology RNfor our center to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. We want you to apply now!TheSpecial Procedures Registered Nurseperform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the diagnostic Imaging patient. Interventional Radiology RNworks all areas of IR (pre/procedure/post.) Call approx 2 times per week and 1 weekend per month. APPROX. Must reside within 30 min call radius.

• Use therapeutic communication in daily practice
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual patients
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process
• Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choices regarding health care
• Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver
• Participate in Diagnostic Imaging specific initiatives and process improvement
• Promote a supportive Diagnostic Imaging environment
• Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistant, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses and/or nurse externs
• Maintain high quality (age specific) care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, as assigned

  Position Requirements
  • BSN required within 24 months
  • Radiology &/or Specials experience strongly preferred
  • Critical Care experience considered
  • Experience with all age groups and patient demographics
  • Current ACLS and BLS Provider through American Heart Association
  • PALS required within 6 months
