Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse Coordinator for a nursing job in Dallas,

PurposeProvides primary oversight over designated clinical programs
and provides leadership through program design, implementation, and
evaluation. -Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in
Nursing.Experience: Must have six (6) years of professional nursing
experience -Certification/Registration/Licensure- Must have current
RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of
Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.- Must have current
healthcare provider CPR course completion card from one of the
following: American Heart Association - American Red Cross -
Military Training Network.- For Trauma Program: Must have Trauma
Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or Advance Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certification. Must also be a Certified
Adult/Adolescent- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (CA-SANE) or a
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner- Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A)- For
Behavioral Health Program: American Heart Association - CPR/AED for
the Healthcare Provider. Satori Alternative to Managing Aggression
- SAMA, Levels 1-4. Federal Emergency Management Administration
(FEMA) course certification for IS-700.B, IS-100.C and IS-200.HCA
is not required for this role. -Skills or Special Abilities-
Provides care to assigned patient population in accordance with the
current State of Texas Nurse Practice Act, established protocols,
multidisciplinary plan of care, and clinical area specific
standards.- Applicants must pass Medication Examination prior to
hospital orientation. Current Parkland employees requesting
reassignment to role must have current Medication Examination on
file.- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
in working with physicians, nursing and ancillary healthcare team
members.- Must demonstrate knowledge of PHHS policies and
procedures, nursing standards of practice and be capable of staff
leadership.- Must demonstrate patient centered/patient valued care.
-Responsibilities- Coordinates the selection, training and
supervision of nursing staff. Analyzes patient needs and staff
capabilities, scheduling staff to ensure maximum utilization of
individual and group capabilities, while providing optimal service
to internal and external customers. Serves as a role model and
resource, motivates, guides and evaluates assigned staff. Ensures
that assigned employees receive opportunities to further their
knowledge.- Responds to patients worsening condition, as needed, by
assessing the patient, performing interventions, and communicating
with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure appropriate
patient care.- Completes quality forms during and after an
activation event of the Clinical Team, in order to identify
potential issues and provide feedback to management and healthcare
staff.- Responsible for data entry, spreadsheet analysis, report
writing, and managing specific databases to ensure that activities
and records are accurate and complete.- Responsible for
coordinating daily nursing activities to promote high quality
patient services, nursing care and outcomes. Assesses individual
patient needs, develops staffing and plan of care in collaboration
with team members, directs and performs clinical nursing skills
directly related to patient care.- Serves as an educational
resource for patients, families and Parkland staff. Evaluates
patient needs and takes initiative in providing quality services
such as language interpretation and/or arranging care. Arranges and
