About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health
to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Tyler, Texas, 75701! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical
Surgical/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Registered Nurse
License Certifications: BLS required, NIH preferred Must-Have: Epic
charting experience Description: The RN will work on a
medical-surgical and oncology/hematology unit with telemetry
capability. The unit consists of private rooms designated for
medical-surgical and oncology patients. The RN will care for young
adult through geriatric oncology and hematology patients throughout
various stages of their disease process. General medical/surgical
overflow patients may also be received. The patient ratio is 1
nurse to 6 patients. The RN will manage duties that include, but
are not limited to, accessing and managing ports, blood product
administration, chemotherapy administration, and colostomy care.
Experience with monitoring chemotherapy, telemetry, and
non-invasive airway management is required. The RN will be expected
to work weekends, with half of the contract covering weekends.
Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures is essential.
The position requires strong communication skills and the ability
to work within an interdisciplinary team. No local candidates are
eligible for this position. Travel experience is required. 5
