Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our diverse team of healthcare professionals. As a vital part of our inpatient rehabilitation services, you will deliver specialized care in a supportive environment that focuses on patient outcomes and community integration. For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity to work across both acute and sub-acute settings, providing a unique chance to impact patient recovery through innovative therapy practices. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, developing tailored treatment plans that promote functionality and independence in our patients. Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on each patient's needs and potential. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation specialists to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide education and resources to patients and their families to support their understanding and management of communication and swallowing disorders.
