MRI Tech Location: Grapevine, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,421 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Imaging Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Acute Care Hospital License: MRT Certifications: ARRT (MR), BLS (AHA Only) Must-Have: Trauma, Stroke, Anesthesia Description: The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider. These procedures are conducted for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The technologist performs high-quality MRI procedures, following exam protocols in a timely manner. Maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures is essential. The technologist utilizes effective communication strategies to establish rapport with patients and ensure the correct exam is performed. Instructions and communication regarding the test are provided to patients and their families. Assessing the patient's ability to tolerate the exam is an important responsibility. Preparation for the procedure includes positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment appropriately. Equipment controls are adjusted to set exposure factors as needed. Safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation protocols are strictly adhered to. The technologist employs proper sterile techniques for invasive procedures and maintains hand hygiene. Equipment and work areas must meet quality and cleanliness standards. Collaboration with engineers and physicists is important for optimal operational capabilities of equipment. The technologist is responsible for reporting issues to management or the appropriate department. Maintaining an inventory of supplies is also a key function. Individuals entering the department are screened according to approved policies and procedures to ensure safety. All relevant documentation, including patient histories and consent forms, must be obtained and maintained. Medical imaging records must be maintained for timely interpretation according to department standards. This role requires performing high-quality MRI procedures independently and ensuring patient comfort. A commitment to customer satisfaction and maintaining professionalism is crucial. Knowledge and skills appropriate for various patient age groups must be upheld. The technologist may also serve as a preceptor to provide quality training to new team members.
