4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with
Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Tyler, Texas, 75701! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate
Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: 2 years preferred License: Registered Nurse License
Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS Must-Have: Previous charge
experience is preferred. Travel experience is required. Experience
with the Epic charting system is required. Description: Shift
consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week. Patient ratio is
1:4. Unit does not accept first-time travelers. Candidates should
possess skills in the management of dysrhythmias and utilization of
rapid response/code teams. Experience in post-myocardial infarction
care and titration of insulin drips is necessary. Knowledge in
patient-controlled analgesia, orthopedic trauma, and total joint
replacement care is required. Candidates must be proficient in the
care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, and BiPAP/CPAP
maintenance. Ability to interpret arterial blood gases is a must.
Familiarity with non-invasive airway management, telemetry
monitoring, and IV insulin protocols is necessary. Experience in
feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, and renal
failure management is preferred. Skills in accessing/management of
ports, blood product administration, and central line
care/management are essential. Phlebotomy experience and
maintenance of peripheral lines are required. Candidates should be
knowledgeable in PICC line management and initiation of IVs.
Understanding heparin protocols and management of cardiac drips
without titration is necessary. Experience with cerebrovascular
accidents, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries is
preferred. Candidates should have skills in monitoring chemotherapy
and managing surgical drains. Knowledge in high flow nasal cannula
and oxygen administration is required. Tracheostomy care and
following isolation precautions/PPE are essential. Experience in
