Our colleagues think broadly about where they can make the most impact, and we encourage them to grow their role locally, regionally, or even internationally.As we welcome new people on board, it's important to us to have diverse, inclusive teams, and we value different perspectives and experiences.Are you looking for an opportunity to utilize your manufacturing background while working for a global industry leader?-- Are you motivated to lead a production team in order to provide our customers with quality product delivered on time?If you answered yes to these questions, we should talk!--Our South Central Service Center is growing and we are currently seeking a Second Shift Operations Supervisor.--This role will be based on-site out of our facility located in Mesquite, Texas.--What would you do as our Second Shift Operations Supervisor?This individual will act as the front line support for our production floor operation, ensuring quality product and customer satisfaction by leading production employees as guided by our Service Center Manager, Operations Manager, and production schedule.--You would also:

  • Plan and coordinate work, train, direct, monitor and evaluate performance of personnel, ensuring their ability to safely and efficiently perform the functions of their responsibilities.--
  • Interview and recommend applicants for hire, evaluate and address non-conformances as necessary.
  • Ensure orders are filled efficiently and correctly, and provide on time delivery to customers.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports.
  • Participate in the Lean Council, assist in developing lean initiatives and improving procedures and processes.-- Implement change management proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, inventory management, complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost, and Company employment policies and guidelines including the Code of Conduct.
  • Participate in bi-annual Service Center director meetings.
  • Identify and proactively raise organizational issues and trends; recommend alternatives for improved effectiveness.
  • Establish and monitor operational performance.
  • Plan and effectively execute operational strategy to meet or exceed budgetary expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Support the Company's Strategy to Action initiatives.
    • Develop organizational capabilities and create a collaborative high performance work environment.
    • Exercise sound judgment in interfacing with customers and staff.
    • Leads the safety program initiatives and ensures safe work practices are being followed.-- Audits and tracks performance.
      • Cultivate a collaborative and positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
      • Occasional travel as required.
      • Abide--by, support--and ensure--compliance with state and federal regulations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet expectations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Qualifications
        • Education:
        • HS, GED or Silver Certificate
        • BS degree in engineering or related field preferred.
        • Experience:
        • A minimum of four years operational supervision or equivalent experience.
        • Experience in metal fabrication preferred.
